Who would have guessed it?! I won something! I seriously never win things and I enter a lot. All foodie/travel comps of course. Much to my delight I won a double pass to Create and Capture a photography exhibition set to round up what has been a truly scrumptious Good Food Month at Fish Lane Studios, South Brisbane.
Fish Lane Studios is The Fox Hotel’s very own art and design studio gallery. Just a stone’s throw from GOMA and the Queensland Art Gallery, Fish Lane Studios is South Brisbane’s latest focal point for culture and creativity.
With a focus on chefs, bartenders & home cooks captured in the art of creating good food, Create and Capture was nothing short of just that. Some seriously delicious art and a fantastic tribute to all things delicious,
With pieces hailing from all over the globe and some closer to home, Fish Lane was the perfect setting to house some of these unique items. I even spotted one taken at the Cardigan Bar, only the coolest little laneway bar three doors down from where I work. Super cool. Exposed brick wall, rustic timber and mismatched wall decor all added to the uber cool vibe. I love this little space. With sparkling wine, delicious canapes on arrival (my favourite being the roasted beetroot, and feta tart!) and your best foodie friend, by your side, Thursday nights don’t get much better!
I’m so sad to see Good Food Month go but what a month it has been. So many great events and this exhibition was the icing on the cake. Can’t wait to see what next year brings!
