Prepare your stomachs, wallets and Instagram accounts Brisvegas! This July, our river city will be setting the table and turning on the sunshine for locals and visitors alike, offering its biggest program of foodie fun yet, full of one-off surprises, special menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It’s Good Month of course which kicks off on July 9 and runs until August 9. Yes, that’s right! A whole month of eating planned out so you don’t have to! This year there is a plethora of foodie bliss for everyone including long lunches, secret rooftop parties, multi sensory degustatations, breakfast clubs, chef balls and plenty of fantastic restaurant dining deals. It really is a celebration of good food and dining in all it’s glorious forms!

Topping the list of must-do activities is the Tanquery G & Tea Rooftop Garden, a tea party for grown-ups that not even the Mad Hatter could’ve conjured up. On top of the Fox, you’ll consume traditional high tea fare of cupcakes and sandwiches with a gin twist, and pretend you’re Alice in your very own wonderland. Elsewhere, you can check out the cooking skills of the kitchen stars of tomorrow is on offer at the Young Chef’s Dinner or learn culinary secrets from respected Melbourne master Ben Shewry (whose Attica was just named number 32 on the World’s Best Restaurant list!).

Last year I was lucky enough to attend the Good Food guide awards and visited the Night Noodle Markets, two highlights of the 30 day event. I was blown away at the deliciousness! The markets are of course returning again this year but upping the Asian anti by popping-up for an extended run of 18 nights at the Cultural Forecourt at South Bank, from July 23 until August 9. Over 100,000 hungry Brisbanites were recorded to have flocked to the inaugural Night Noodle Markets in 2014 to get their fix of Asian eats, including noodles, dumplings, roti, yakitori skewers and more. This year, market opening hours will be extended on weekends to include yum cha. I’m salivating already just thinking about it! Bring on the food babies and copious amounts of Okinomiyaki.

So what are you waiting for?!  Clear your diaries for this epic month-long foodie festival, I know I will be going to as much as I possibly can!  One thing is for certain: with all these tasty treats on offer, you’ll have no excuse to be hungry in July.

You can view all the amazing events by downloading the online program just here!

Stay hungry,
